Overview
Almas Latinas is the product of salsa dance partners and husband and wife team, Francis and Nagore.
Established in 2002 to promote us as dancers, instructors, entertainers and choreographers, as well as promoting salsa and other forms of dancing in Milton Keynes and Buckinghamshire through group and private salsa lessons. We have built up a solid reputation over several years, guest teaching dance classes at salsa events nationally and internationally, and providing corporate, party and wedding dance entertainment at charity, private, and corporate events. We also work closely and regularly with other key salsa promoters in the area, supporting their lessons and events, selling salsa dance shoes, and helping people learn to dance.
Whether you are organising a charity, corporate, public or private event such as a wedding, we can provide dance entertainment which include demonstrations of various latin-style dances (Salsa, Merengue, Bachata, Cha Cha Cha, Reggaeton etc), and more importantly, we could get your guests involved either in a fun partnerwork session, or in a line-up format (i.e. follow the leader). We have lots of experience doing this and would be happy to talk through options with you and provide advice on what generally works.
Originally from a street dance background, Francis has choreographed and performed in various solo, partner, and group shows, and has over 15 years experience teaching salsa. Francis passion for music and dance, and his general open-mindedness to various genres, means that he can turn his hand to a wide variety of styles and is a firm believer that with the right combination of desire to learn and time to practice, anyone can learn to dance.
Coming from a rhythmic gymnastics background, Nagore quickly developed experience in choreographing pieces for the younger groups. After a brief exposure to basic ballroom dancing, she very quickly got drawn to salsa where she has developed her teaching skills and along with Francis has choreographed and performed in several shows.
